Gracious God, You prepare a place for Your children
and invite us to share in Your abundant life.
Open our hearts to the joy of Your invitation.
Remove whatever pride, resentment, selfishness,
or distraction keeps us from accepting Your grace.
Help us remember those who hunger for food,
friendship, peace, dignity, and hope.
May Your Church become a welcoming table
where every person can encounter the compassion of Christ
and discover that they are loved.
